One issue to keep in mind is that when you do get it working, anytime
you vnc into the machine and start using it, there is no proper way to
lock the console - so when you work remotely, someone at the console can
see and interfere with your work.
The way I get around it is to kick off vnc, then use the vnc session for
~all~ work - so even when I am at the console, I vnc back into the same
box to do myh work and do nothing (other than running vncviewer when I
am at the machine) on the console.
