Hi
I'm trying to setup postfix 2.3.8 to lookup mxbackup domains via
ldap on a Debian Etch system. The ldap connection is working, it's
being used for smtp-authentication via sasl.
It seems like no matter what changes I make on the conf-file, I get
the same error. So there is something I keep missing.

Postconf, ldap & ldapconf:
http://pastebin.com/m3808034c

# postmap -qv "backupdom.dk" ldap/relay-domains.cf
---- mail.log -----
[2916]: daemon started -- version 2.3.8, configuration /etc/postfix
[2920]: fatal: open database backupdom.dk.db: No such file or directory
[2921]: fatal: open database backupdom.dk.db: No such file or directory
[2922]: fatal: open database backupdom.dk.db: No such file or directory

I have two minor questions.
1) As i understand "relay_recipient_maps" is used for listing mail
accounts for the domains listed in "relay_domains" to avoid
catch-all because of spam. If the accounts for one of the backup
domains isn't listed, will that automatic become a catch-all domain,
if having a setup with "mixed" configurations?

2) Is there an easy way to test your mxbackup, without killing the
primary mailserver or change to many settings?

Best regards.

/Lars
