I need to see if I can create exemptions for specific email addresses in
the body checks and header checks files. I understand that these
entries must be at the start of the list for them to be successful.

In header checks will

/^To|From:user/ HOLD

send messages for that account directly to the hold queue?

I am not sure about how to do this for body checks. The way I read it,
such an entry as I listed for header checks will not work in body checks
since this is checking the body and not the header to see if it is
exempt. For example /user/ OK will not do anything for me
unless /user/ is in the body and only then will that be
passed on.

Chapter 11 of the Postfix The Definitive Guide has some suggestions for
smtpd_restriction_classes, it addresses things like
reject_invalid_hostname, reject_non_fqdn_hostname, etc. Can this be
used to run two different sets of body and header checks? The way I
read it, this only applies to smtpd restrictions.

I suspect the header check is the source of the complaint from our
marketing department.
