This is not a postfix problem. followup on the courier-maildrop list.

The following may or may not help. Understand it before running it. Use
at your own risk...

# setenforce Permissive
# chmod a+rx /etc
# chgrp vmail /etc/maildroprc
# chmod g+r /etc/maildroprc
