Hi,

I have a postfix setup with a lot of virtual domains (using
virtual_alias_domains and virtual_alias_maps). I have set

mailbox_transport = lmtp:unix:/var/imap/socket/lmtp

so that all mail will be stored in a locally running IMAP server.

None of the "virtual users" has a real unix account on this server,
so no one can create a .forward file (the only users with real unix
accounts are from the mydestination-domain, which is only me :-)

The default settings for local_destination_{concurrency,recipient}_limit
is {2,1}. The documentation explains this with

"A low limit of 2 is recommended, just in case someone has an
expensive shell command in a .forward file or in an alias (e.g., a
mailing list manager). You don't want to run lots of those at the
same time."

Since I do not have any local mailbox files (which could cause trouble
with locking issues) and no .forward files (which could cause
performance problems) I think I could raise these values to e.g.
{20,50}.

Are there any other things I should take into account before raising
these limit values?

Thanks and regards
-stefan-
