there is no need to build sasl.

This does not check that the recipient (or mailbox owner) is in the
To/CC headers, and it doesn't seem to use the original envelope sender
(so will probably send to From or Reply-To header addresses, which is bad).

if using a local domain (mydestination), then use the vacation program.
you can probably find a pre-packaged version for your system.
