Is there any easy way to have postfix log _just_ the SMTP transactions (HELO, RCPT, DATA, etc) rather than all of the stuff that smtpd -v pushes out? I'm trying to figure out a way to correlate a message/DSN with a particular SMTP transaction, and it's looking like it's going to be a real bear to do, as I can't be sure that a smtp PID will always be unique over the course of a day. I'm not liking my options on this one at the moment. Perhaps I'm just not finding what I need. I did notice that there is mention of smtp_chat_notify() function to send transaction logs postmaster in smtp_chat.c, but I haven't been able to figure out how to activate it. Note that I only care about matching DSNs to SMTP transactions on _outbound_ messages. The system doesn't process inbound at all. Anyone have any suggestions? -Jeff --- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Jeff McCombs Trondent Development Corp Manager, Network Operations 1300 S.
