there is no way to pass the information during the smtp session (the way
reloacted does) and still deliver the message. if you want the latter,
then you will need to send a message back to the sender. However, you
must be very careful here. you should not send such auto-replies if the
message may be spam (because you would be generating backscatter).

to implement this, use virtual_alias_maps or one of the bcc options to
send a copy to an address handled by vacation, and configure the latter
to reply with the right address.
