"NOOP Connection from $ip" message to the SMTP server. There is then a notation that Postfix has a problem with it. My Google of NOOP indicates it is looking for a response - of some type - from the server, with no other defined action. I assume this is for a connection keep-alive technique. If this is the case, is this something that could/should be used? Did Postfix in fact have a problem - which may now be fixed? Or is ASSP using the NOOP command incorrectly and deserves to have the MTA throw up on it? -- Daniel
