I sent a mail with a 20Mb attachment this afternoon. I know SMTP is not for file transfer but sometimes you have to. Anyway, now it's three and a half hours later and the mail has not even entered the postfix queue yet. ps still says: madduck 15374 0.0 0.0 30992 1900 ? S 15:39 0:00 sendmail -oem -oi -- recipient@server madduck 15375 0.0 0.0 30984 1884 ? S 15:39 0:00 /usr/sbin/postdrop -r There is nothing in the logs. Does anyone have an idea what is going on? message_size_limit is the default 10M, which is clearly smaller than what I am trying to send. But why do I not get any errors or log entries? This is postfix 2.4.0-3 on Debian sid. postconf -n follows: alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases append_dot_mydomain = no biff = no config_directory = /etc/postfix inet_interfaces = loopback-only inet_protocols = all mailbox_size_limit = 0 mydomain = oerlikon.madduck.net mynetworks_style = host myorigin = piper.madduck.net recipient_delimiter = + relayhost = smtp.oerlikon.madduck.net Thanks for any hints. -- martin; (greetings from the heart of the sun.) \____ echo mailto: !#^."<*>"|tr "<*> mailto:" net@madduck spamtraps: madduck.bogus "der besitz der wahrheit ist nicht schrecklich, sondern langweilig, wie jeder besitz." - friedrich nietzsche
