Hash: SHA1 Just compiled postfix 2.4.0 on Solaris 10 SPARC. Postfix seems to start up correctly how ever when you try telneting to part 25 it just sits there like: telnet 192.168.1.1 25 Trying 192.168.1.1... Connected to 192.168.1.1. Escape character is '^ Then this is what I get in my log file: Apr 16 13:47:16 smtp postfix/smtpd[5409]: [ID 947731 mail.crit] fatal: open database /etc/mail/aliases.dir: No such file or directory Apr 16 13:47:16 smtp postfix/smtpd[5409]: [ID 947731 mail.crit] fatal: open database /etc/mail/aliases.dir: No such file or directory Apr 16 13:47:17 smtp postfix/master[5405]: [ID 947731 mail.warning] warning: process /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd pid 5409 exit status 1 Apr 16 13:47:17 smtp postfix/master[5405]: [ID 947731 mail.warning] warning: /usr/libexec/postfix/smtpd: bad command startup -- throttling Don't really know what to do from here. Where is it getting "/etc/mail/aliases.dir" from? It's not an any of the config files.
