Is there any fix or modification to resolve the following issue...

I can't re-highlight part of the contents of the url bar without
un-highlighting the original selection. In IE or Avant, I can highlight a
section of the url bar, then re-highlight any part of the address bar. In
firefox I'd have to click somewhere to un-highlight the text and then
re-highlight part of the url if I wanted to edit it in some way.
