Folks

I have the problem described in this MozillaZine article:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_error_opening_Internet_shortcut_or_local_HTML_ file_-_Firefox

It does not seem to have an error report.

The steps outlined in the article cure the problem, at least until the
next Firefox update. In fairness, the article does mention that after a
Firefox update, the steps 'may' need to be repeated.

This has been going on for a long time now, through at least 4 or 5
updates. Isn't it time that this is fixed so the file extensions don't
have to be manually edited every time there is an update?

I am glad I don't have to deal with more than 2 or 3 machines to fix
this. Give a thought to those who have to manage hundreds.

Thanks in advance.
