I am new and hope that I am in compliance with the protocol in suggesting an idea for Firefox.

One thing I would love is a button that could be added to the tool bar that when pressed would automatically place an icon to that page on the desktop instead of bookmarking the page. I know that I can drag and drop the symbol in the browser URL area, but a button would be easier and faster. With IE, I could just right-click and go down to "Create Shortcut on Desktop". I miss that but not IE.

Maybe someone could consider this request when working on future versions of Firefox or maybe make a plug-in for that.

Thank you,
Mark Ferrante
