Looking into my installed plug-in via about:plugin I discover that I
have a whole string of Java plugins installed, for diverse drivers. I am
not at all a connaisseur of all those technical niceties (even if they
are necessary). But are they all necessary ? I asked because
http://www.visualthesaurus.com/ told me that I lack the java plugin to
run it.

There is no pink box here.

So, I controlled the installation with the test of the java virtual
machine http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml
Result : I have java well installed.

So I don't understand the error message.

I have 7 Java Plug-ins 1.6.0_03 for Netscape Navigator for different dll.

Any ideas ?
