I haven't dug terribly hard to find out is this is already out there
-- and I'm incredibly swamped. I do, however, have a suggestion to
deal with poser sites:


You start typing away and suddenly run into what seems an arbitrary
limit for typing. Then you go back, copy it to your favorite editor,
paste the text, look at the character count, modify your text, then
paste it back on the original web page.

Again, swat me if it's already there.

What would anyone think if you were to right-click some type of text-
entry and a tooltip (see-thru) would appear. The number of characters
to the current position should be displayed -- and updated as you
type.


If the maximum length is known, display that information as well; or,
display how much room is left.
