Windows XP SP2. Firefox set as default browser. After upgrading to 2.0.0.7, if FF is not open, clicking on desktop shortcut to a URL produces Windows error message "Windows cannot find 'http://www. ...'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." Then the requested URL opens in Firefox, but leaves the error message behind the FF window. If Firefox is open, access is fine, no error message. I have tried: "Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults -> Custom", but the selection of Firefox will not stay; the option reverts back to "Use my current Web browser" upon exiting. I have tried "Start Menu -> Run": firefox.exe -silent -nosplash -setDefaultBrowser but that doesn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks.
