The optimum strategy is to run it normally but disable half the
extensions. If the problem goes, enable half the disabled extensions;
if it doesn't go disable half the enabled extensions etc until you have
narrowed it down to the single extension. If you have sixteen
extensions this strategy guarantees and answer in four steps where yours
gives the answer in between 1 and 16 steps with an average of 8.
