When you have Firefox started to your old profile: Bookmarks -> Organize bookmarks ... -> File -> Export -> Save the bookmarks.html for example to your desktop. When you have Firefox started to your new profile: Bookmarks -> Organize bookmarks ... -> File -> Import -> Select the bookmarks.html for example from your desktop or where ever you happened to save it. Alternative is to locate your profile folder and just copy-paste the file from there. Also note that it is a _very good idea_ to create backup from the same bookmarks.html file. So in case your hard drive crashes, you won't lose your bookmarks for-ever. >> adjust the settings > > what settings? You will know how to do this and do this automatically if the default settings bother you. So no need to worry about this. > Can I download a list of Add-ons from ff so as to enable me to add them > in new profile? or again, need I move some file/ folder from old profile > folder to new profile folder? It is better that you download the Add-ons again from the internet. From where ever you downloaded them in the first place. You could also copy the files directly, but if the problem is related to corrupted Add-on, you would just copy the problem to your new profile. This is why it is better to start from scratch. There are add-ons that can provide you a list of the addons you have installed. In case you were asking something like a "memo" so you know what you had installed. Here is one of them (Extension List Dumper): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3746 -- Solutions for issues with Firefox: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Category:Issues_%28Firefox%29 _______________________________________________ support-firefox mailing list support-firefox https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-firefox To unsubscribe, send an email to support-firefox-request?subject=unsubscribe
