That has got to be it. When I installed Firefox I probably imported my IE Favourites at a time when I had my hidden folder unlocked. Thanks for explaining how FF works with regards to bookmarks. Now I could remove the hidden bookmarks, which removes then from the database, but when I want to view them they won't be there. The method FF uses for storing bookmarks may be efficient and all that but it ruins a feature that I got use to in IE where I can see some Favourites then can hide them.
