Subject:Why opening a new windows of FF takes ages?

When FF is up and running and I mistakenly give the command "open in new
window" or mistakenly click on the quicklaunch icon of ff, why does it
take ages to open a new window?

Does it start from scratching loading the entire 6MB code from disk?

I mean, when the code is already in the memory, it should just take as
much time as opening a new tab, so why does it take so long?

I am happy with tabbed browsing and I just want to remove the "another
window option". Whatever happens, I want the urls to open in a new tab
in only the current window, whether I click on quicklaunch icon, or give
the command "open in new window".

I have made all the settings in tab browser preferences not to open a
new window, yet it does.

Is there any method to remove "another window" option from firefox
altogether? the way AM Browser/ crazy browser has done.

thanks.
