Over the last week or so, I've been setting myself up with a new profile, having just installed SM 1.1.7 finally. I have my Usenet groups split up into two accounts, my general stuff under account name news.teranews.com and my linux/windows under the same servers alias 66.150.105.47 When I was going through the list of available groups, I meant to put the word linux in the filter box, but, instead, put the word SeaMonkey in the box, and up showed mozilla.support.seamonkey as a selectable group. On further investigation mozilla.dev, mozilla.support.firefox, mozilla.support.general, mozilla.support.firefox and mozilla.wishlist also showed up. m.s.seamonkey has currently three threads listed, which don't seem to appear here at n.m.o, and there have been no responses to the three. Are these support groups supposed to be selectable on Usenet Servers? (I didn't think so) Is this, sort of, a case of Usenet servers reflecting what appears on Google-groups, even if there is no real connection to the group? Are we losing SM users because no one is dealing with their questions on these supposed user groups. Can the SeaMonkey Council do something about getting these bogus groups removed from Usenet servers??
