From a Debian point of view, your locally maintained zone files should
be in /etc/bind. I usually keep them in subdirectories of /etc/bind,
and drop the "db." prefix. So, the zone file for zugschlus.de is in
/etc/bind/zg2/zugschlus.de.

With Debian's default setup, the mirrored zone files go to
/var/cache/bind.
