BIND 9.3.4. There were a number of messages like this one: Jul 26 09:10:07 ... named[29566]: [ID 873579 daemon.error] zone anl.gov/IN/argonne: www.anl.gov/MX 'atalanta.it.anl.gov' has no address records (A or AAAA) I do not understand this message. There is an A record for atalanta.it.anl.gov - 146.137.96.104 Is the problem the fact that the "A" record does not appear in the anl.gov zone but appears in the it.anl.gov zone? There were messages for all of the entries in the anl.gov zone that have internal MX records pointing to atalanta.it.anl.gov. There were a number of similar messages that denoted dangling MX records pointing to mail hosts that no longer exist; I corrected those. I just do not understand the above message about atalanta. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Barry S.
