I don't know, but wonder whether this old [non-v9] version of BIND might
detect Trusted Solaris because part of tsol is part of Solaris 10? And
I wonder how much ISC puts into supporting relatively new OSes with old
versions of BIND?

How well did BIND 9.4.0 compile when you tried it on Solaris 10?
