Thanks Billy,

There is no /usr/share/docs/ltsp directory. Which was why I was
wondering where this README is located that the Gentoo instructions mention.

I did find a ltsp-sound.sh but it mentions version 4.1. Gentoo's version
is at 4.2. I had tried it anyway but it did nothing.

I tried your equery idea and it had many results, but nothing obvious.

I also tried your slocate idea and filtered it down with grep. But there
were no README's returned that appear to be for what I am looking.
A complete reinstall from scratch of Gentoo is easier than getting sound
working for LTSP.
