Hi,

During the build process (make) for gcc4.2, an error was received. Please
see the following information. Thanks.

System Info:
Source Dir: /opt/FOSS/gcc-4.2.0-20070430
Target Dir: /gcc42_build
OS: Linux ES 4.0
2.6.9-5.ELsmp x86_64 (kernel)
Intel Quad Core Xeon Processor

Steps

1). cd /gcc42_build

2). /opt/FOSS/gcc-4.2.0-20070430/configure --prefix=/usr/local/gcc2 ( for
new gcc, 3.4 already on system)

3). make bootstrap (see error below)

/usr/bin/ld: crti.o: No such file: No such file or directory
collect2: Id returned 1 exit status
make(4): 32/libgcc_s.so Error 1
make(4): Leaving dir gcc42_build/gcc
make(3): stmp-multilib Error 2
make(3): Leaving dir gcc42_build/gcc

make(1): Leaving dir gcc42_build/gcc
make: bootstrap Error 2
