Subject:gcc-4.1.1: ssp (stack smashing protector) for aix ?

Hi,

is there a specific reason why libssp is not built for powerpc-aix (it
is disabled in toplevel configure script) ?

Because passing '-fstack-protector' for compile and link seems to work,
except libssp_nonshared (and libssp) is missing during linking.

After hacking configure to allow libssp for powerpc-aix, it was built
successfully and also seems to work with simple test program on
powerpc-aix5.3.

Thanks!
